Patch notes

The latest updates and fixes

  • September 26, 2026
  • Itemshop prices have dropped significantly: a mount now costs 1,900 SÉ, and every other item has become cheaper in the same proportion. SÉ vouchers still cost exactly their redemption value.NEW
  • The TESZTRE tab has been removed: the costumes, mounts, pets, weapon costumes and wings from it can now be bought in the regular categories, and the hairstyles have moved to the new Hairstyles category.
  • Itemshop: sharper, easier-to-read text and faster loading. You can view every mount in 3D, and costumes, hairstyles and weapon costumes on a character, also in 3D.
  • King Pieces drop less often: at a quarter of the previous chance.
  • Fixed: several costumes showed the wrong icon. The icons of the female and male versions of the DFMT2 (Limited Costume) were swapped, some female costumes showed the picture of the male version, and Azrael's Armor+ had an empty bottle icon.
  • Android (client 0.9.22): in several dungeons (for example the Demon Tower and the Spider Dungeon) the floor appeared black in places. Fixed, please update the app.ANDROID
  • September 25, 2026
  • The Itemshop has been completely redesigned: new look, search and sorting, and you can view mounts and pets in 3D. The categories are tidier (separate Weapon Costumes, Wings, Equipment, Dragon Stone). New: DAILY DEAL – every day a randomly chosen item on the home page is 10–50% cheaper until midnight. If an SÉ promotion is running, it shows that too.
  • From now on you can only play with the latest client. If the game logs you out when you enter with the message “Elavult kliens! / Outdated client”, close it and start it again with the DFMT2 launcher (patcher), which updates it. On phones you need the Android client 0.9.20; the app offers it when it starts.
  • On phones (Android client 0.9.19): a new Split Stack button on the screen too, a round button like the Ride button. Tap it, then tap the stack you want to split; if the inventory is closed, it opens by itself. The button can be moved elsewhere in UI move mode.ANDROID
  • On phones the quick menu can now be moved in UI move mode too: drag it where you want it, and it stays there after you lock the UI. It no longer covers the special inventory.ANDROID
  • Gems: up to 5 gems can be set into weapons, armor, helmets, shields and shoes. Each gem gives +2% attack value on a weapon and +3% defense on armor pieces. Drag the gem onto the item in your inventory (the item must be unequipped); before it goes in, you see the chance and what happens if it fails. In the tooltip, 5 small icons show how many gems the item has.
  • There are five gems: the plain Gem drops from metin stones and bosses. The Flawless and the Perfect Gem are sold in Seon-Pyeong's Dust Shop for Spirit Stone Dust; the Perfect Gem protects the gems even if it fails. The Blessed and the Divine Gem (this one always succeeds) are in the Item Shop on the Upgrades tab.
  • New Split Stack button in the title bar of the inventory and the special inventory, next to the stacking button: press it, then click (tap on phones) a stack, and the same window opens as with Shift + click. This way stacks can be split on phones too.
  • Offline shops now accept the full stack, up to 10,000 pieces. On phones this needs the new Android client 0.9.18.
  • Offline shop: item bonuses on the “Retrievable” tab are now shown correctly.
  • New button in the title bar of the inventory and the special inventory (circular arrow): one click stacks the scattered piles of identical items together. Items now stack up to 10,000 (previously 2,000).
  • You can now also pour the rest of your Elixirs of the Sun and Moon into the Refillable Sun/Moon Elixir (just drag it on), even into one in your belt. They also got a new icon: the gold „+” shows that they are refillable.
  • Dews and the other time-storing items (Dragon God, Strikes, potions, refillable elixir) can now also be placed in the belt inventory, and their frame glows there too while they are switched on.
  • Spirit Stone Crusher: crushing at Seon-Pyeong now happens in its own window. You see every stone type with how many you have and how much dust it is worth, tick what you want to crush (with +0 … +4 filters too) and finish with one button. Works on phones too.
  • +4 spirit stones are no longer sold by the Event Helper: they are now in Seon-Pyeong's Dust Shop for Spirit Stone Dust (50 dust each). +5 spirit stones are also available there (150 dust each).
  • Spirit stones now sell to shops for only 1 yang: they are worth much more crushed into dust. Their description also tells you where to crush them.
  • Spirit Stone Dust: Seon-Pyeong grinds your spirit stones into dust (per stone +0 = 1, +1 = 2, +2 = 4, +3 = 8, +4 = 16 dust). In his Dust Shop you can spend it on dews, Alchemy Bonus Switchers, Dragon God items and potions.
  • Three new events in the F8 calendar: Spirit Stone Crushing (more dust), Flower Rain (more flowers from monsters) and Double Boss (a chance that the dungeon's final boss appears once more).
  • The event messages at login and the F8 calendar now show the time in minutes (not in seconds).
  • Alchemy Bonus Switcher at Jaharr, in two versions (1 yang during the test): the normal one rerolls a dragon stone's extra bonuses at random, exactly as on a new stone; the Max one always gives the maximum number of bonuses for the grade (3 on mythic and legendary stones). How to use: drag it onto the stone in the Dragon Soul window.
  • Six new unique dews at Huahn-So, for flowers: Bosshunter (strong against bosses +3%), Stonebreaker (strong against Metin stones +3%), Monsterbane (strong against monsters +5%), Wisdom (experience +10%), Fortune (item drop chance +10%) and Double Boss (10% chance that the dungeon's final boss appears once more after its defeat). All of them store time, and 30 days of it can be exchanged for an eternal version.
  • New weapon bonuses: strong against bosses and strong against Metin stones (1–5%). They can appear on weapons and can also be selected in the bonus switcher.
  • When buying at Huahn-So, every item you pay with is now shown.
  • The tooltips of dews, potions and elixirs now show what matters: the time of one piece, the stored time, whether it is switched on, and the contents of the refillable Sun/Moon Elixir. Every dew has a description.
  • Splittable storage: Shift + click on a switched-off dew (or potion) lets you split off a part – for example 1 day or 30 minutes – to sell or give away. The eternal version cannot be split.
  • Two new dews: Amber Dew (HP regeneration +30%) and Violet Dew (SP regeneration +30%), both with an eternal version. You can get them from Huahn-So for flowers; the waters were removed from his shop, and their effects now come from the dews.
  • A small golden ∞ sign on the icon of eternal buffs shows that they never expire.
  • The colour of the highest (mythic) rarity tier is now an easier-to-read red.
  • Time-storing buffs: the time of dews, Dragon God items, Critical and Piercing Strike, and Green and Purple Potions now adds up – two pieces become a single 20-minute item. Right-click switches them on or off like the automatic elixir; while off, no time is used, and the item shows the stored time.
  • Eternal buffs: at Huahn-So you can exchange 30 days of stored time for a permanent Yellow, Green, Blue or White Dew, Dragon God Life, Intelligence or Defence, or Green or Purple Potion. They never expire, can be switched on or off with right-click, and can be traded.
  • Huahn-So's shop: dews can now be bought directly for flowers, and Dragon God items and Strike scrolls for dews.
  • Green and Purple Potions: only the Large version remains, and it can only be farmed (it was removed from the General Store); one piece lasts 5 minutes. Your existing small and medium potions have been turned into Large ones.
  • Infinite Reinforcer: dragged onto an item, it fills it up to 4 bonuses at once and never runs out. Every new character gets one; during the test anyone can buy it at the General Store for 1 yang.
  • Refillable Sun and Moon Elixir: drag Red (or Blue) Potions onto it to fill it; it does not disappear when empty. New characters find it in their starter chest; during the test you can buy it at the General Store for 1 yang.
  • Seon-Pyeong no longer upgrades spirit stones (upgrading weapons, armour and belts stays).
  • Entering the PvP event (Uriel) no longer deletes your Dragon God items: put them in your storage, just like dews.
  • September 24, 2026
  • Android client 0.9.17 (beta): if you put the game in the background (e.g. open another app in the meantime), the picture no longer gets corrupted when you come back.ANDROID
  • Android: a new “Special inventory” button in the top quick menu opens the special inventory (the U key on PC).ANDROID
  • The Statistics window has been renewed (inventory, “Kill stats” button): a new look, and next to the monsters killed it now also shows the Metin stones destroyed, the bosses killed and the dungeons completed, with player kills per kingdom. Metin stone and boss kills are counted from now on.
  • Right-click an item in your offline shop, or in the builder when opening the shop, to put it straight back into your inventory.
  • Less chat spam: the server-wide message about new players and the greeting shown at every login are gone.
  • Fixed: the “Item name:” label is visible again in the shop search.
  • The default place of the event icon (EVENT) is now at the top of the screen, next to the minimap, so it no longer covers the buttons on the right; you can still drag it.
  • New, simpler My offline shop manager: one window shows your shop items – tap an item to set a new price or remove it, tap an empty slot to list a new item, and the “To take back” tab holds the items left from your closed shop. No right-click needed, it works comfortably on phones too.ANDROID
  • When pricing, you see the market average (based on the other shops’ offers and the sales of the last 30 days) and can fill it in with one button. If the price is far from the average (e.g. one zero too many or too few), it is marked in colour and you are asked to confirm.
  • In the shop search, colours mark very expensive (red), above-average (orange) and below-average (green) items, and buying a very expensive item shows an extra warning.
  • In the shop search the seller’s name is shown under the item and the price on the right, and the “Buy” button is all you need.
  • New “Shop search” button under “Bonus Switcher”, so you can open the search on phones too.ANDROID
  • The offline shop search (F12) now suggests items while you type (e.g. “Mé” → Méreg kard), with items currently on sale listed first; the category bar on the left got a new, easier-to-read look, with the number of items next to each category.
  • The “Go” teleport from the search window now also takes you to a shop on another channel, and if something is in the way (e.g. an open storage or trade window), it tells you exactly what.
  • Fixed: the shop search sometimes got stuck on “Loading…” and did not show all items.
  • The sale notification got a new look with the DFMT2 logo.
  • Depth of field is now off by default (switched off once); you can turn it back on any time in the System options.
  • The offline shop search (F12) has been extended: categories on the left – weapon, armour, helmet, shield and jewellery per class in drop-down lists, plus mounts, costumes, upgrades, stones, bonus changers, dragon stones and books –, and with the “Buy” button you can purchase an item remotely, straight from the search window.
  • When someone buys from your offline shop, you get a pop-up about the sold item and its price, and the yang goes straight to your inventory; if you were offline, the income is credited at your next login.
  • The Balance window of the offline shop now shows the total value of the items in your shop.
  • New: offline shop search – in the window opened with F12 you can search every offline shop by item name (cheapest first), hover over an item to see its bonuses, and the “Go there” button teleports you next to the shop so you can buy it there.
  • New: redeem promo codes – press F7, enter the code you received, and its reward is yours instantly. Each code can be redeemed once per account and per IP address.
  • The Event Calendar (F8) is filled up until the end of October: Halloween all month long, and every weekend +100% experience plus stronger item and yang drops.
  • New (PC): Shading (AO) in the System Options (Shading (AO): Medium / Strong) – realistic soft shadows appear at the base of trees, buildings, objects and characters and in corners, giving the world much more depth; Medium by default.
  • New (PC): Depth of field (Off / Mild / Strong) – the distant background is softly blurred while your character and nearby things stay sharp, like in a movie; Mild by default, you can turn it off in the same place.
  • Character shadows now have soft edges.
  • Android client 0.9.16 (beta): updated for today's patch. Download: https://dfmt2reload.hu/android/ANDROID
  • New: the game is now fully playable in Romanian, English and German – choose your language with the flags on the login screen. Translated: the entire interface, item and monster names, item descriptions, skills, and the class and kingdom descriptions. Quests and server messages will be translated in the next update.
  • September 23, 2026
  • Fixed: the Treasure Cave works again – after entering, the cave's NPC appears, you can summon the Metin stone and boss waves, and when the time is up the cave takes you back out.
  • Fixed: upgrade materials (e.g. Orc Mace, Quartz Sand, Demonic Ashes, Clear Crystal) drop again from the usual monsters (Black Orc, Stone Golem, Tartaros, Setaou soldiers and the like).
  • New: the website is now also available in Hungarian, Romanian, English and German – pick your language with the flag in the top right corner; on your first visit it matches your browser language automatically.
  • The download buttons on the home page now take you to the Download page, where you can find both the Windows launcher and the Android app, with step-by-step instructions.
  • New: Promoter rank – selected content creators have a TikTok, YouTube or Twitch badge floating above them, so you can see where they stream.
  • Fixed: the Pharaoh and Ocean wings now show on your character when equipped.
  • Fixed: Itemshop items (summer collection, Halloween items, wings and many older items) now have descriptions, and hairstyles show their item info card again.
  • Fixed: the descriptions of the Surpassing Item (adds a 6th/7th bonus) and Item Enchantment (changes the 6th/7th bonus) were swapped.
  • Fixed: several hairstyle costumes (e.g. the Zombie Pumpkin Mask) didn't show on male Suras.
  • Broken items with no visible appearance have been removed from the TESZTRE tab.
  • New: Halloween preview in the Itemshop – Otherworldly Steed (mount) and Jiangshi Phoenix (pet), plus a new pet: Olympic Mascot.
  • New (PC): Render resolution in System Options (Graphics (PC) → Resolution: 100% / 150% / 200%) – on a powerful PC the 3D world is rendered at one and a half or two times the resolution, for a much sharper and smoother image; the interface size stays the same.
  • New (PC): Color Mood (Off / Subtle / Vivid) – more vibrant colors and a soft glow on bright areas; Subtle by default.
  • Character shadows are sharper on the higher shadow quality levels.
  • The NETROX label no longer floats above the Netrox custom outfit.
  • Android client 0.9.15 (beta): updated for today's patch. Download: https://dfmt2reload.hu/android/ANDROID
  • Fixed: the Lightning and Ice upgrade effects weren't visible, and Sea, Fire, Shadow, Gold, Magic Ice and Magic Rose were too dark – they all display properly now. The effects also move more lively on the weapon: the slow ones (Fire, Storm, Gold, Shadow, Rose, Magma, Nature, Magic Blue) are three times faster, Ice and Abyss twice as fast, Magic Ice spins continuously, and Glittering Rose and Magic Rose flow gently along the blade.
  • Upgrade effects revamped: the Sea, Fire, Lightning, Ice, Shadow, Rose, Storm, Nature, Magma, Neon Green, Magic Ice, Magic Blue, Glittering Rose, Magic Rose, Gold and Abyss effects got more detailed patterns and more lifelike motion (lightning, for example, zigzags along the blade), and they now appear at the same size on every weapon – previously they looked oversized and blurry on many weapons.
  • Android client 0.9.14 (beta): the revamped upgrade effects look the same on phones too. Download: https://dfmt2reload.hu/android/ANDROID
  • New (PC): Graphics section in System Options – anti-aliasing (FXAA or SMAA), sharpening (Medium / Strong) and anisotropic texture filtering (4x / 8x / 16x). The best-looking image is enabled by default (SMAA + medium sharpening + 16x); on weaker PCs you can turn it off in the same place.
  • The “Benchmark” button in System Options measures in about 40 seconds how much each graphics setting loads your PC; the results and comparison screenshots are saved to the client's grafika_meres folder.
  • Android client 0.9.13 (beta): updated for today's patch, and it no longer asks for a separate confirmation at startup. Download: https://dfmt2reload.hu/android/ANDROID
  • New: Summer collection in the Itemshop – Heavenly, Pharaoh and Ocean costume sets (outfit, hairstyle, weapon costume for every weapon type, wings), Necromancer hairstyle and weapon costumes, 10 new mounts and 15 new pets.
  • New (for the beta): TESZTRE tab in the Itemshop – every mount, pet and costume in the game that isn't sold in the Itemshop can be bought for 10 SÉ and tried out.
  • The inventory sidebar now has the Quest system button in place of the SÉ nugget exchanger.
  • Silver bars, gold bars and the Gold Chest now sell for exactly their face value (at NPC shops and with quick sell too), and their purchase price is the same.
  • Fixed: the female Warrior's Halloween costume now shows on the character.
  • New: 3D boss preview in the F5 dungeon panel - the selected dungeon's boss is shown as a rotating 3D model that you can zoom in or out with the + and - buttons (PC client only for now). Fixed: the leaderboard window can be reopened after closing the panel, and it closes when you switch dungeons.
  • Fixed: your own stats in the F5 dungeon panel (total clears, fastest time, highest damage) now work for every dungeon, and your previous clear count has been kept. Incorrect time and damage values were removed from the leaderboard; from now on the fastest run and the biggest hit dealt to the boss count.
  • Android client 0.9.12 (beta): the Dungeon button in the quick menu now opens the dungeon panel (like F5 on PC). Download: https://dfmt2reload.hu/android/ANDROID
  • September 22, 2026
  • Shorter runs: in Azrael's Catacomb, Azrael shows up right after you enter, and in the Demon Tower you go straight to the top floor, where the Reaper awaits first, then the Blue Death.
  • The time limit on runs has been removed (Azrael, Blue Dragon, Shadow Lord).
  • F5 dungeon panel: stats now show for Azrael too, the incorrect “Yang” next to highest damage is gone, and it no longer shows a time limit.
  • Android client 0.9.11 (beta): sharper, easy-to-read text; the Demon Tower and multi-part maps are no longer black; bigger quick menu buttons; graphics mode in the quick menu (FPS / Normal / Max graphics / Ultra 4K); a big, movable close button next to an open shop or inventory; with the new “Move UI” button you can freely reposition the on-screen buttons (e.g. because of the camera cutout). Download: https://dfmt2reload.hu/android/ANDROID
  • Biologist: after completing the last (level 105) quest, the panel now shows the completed state instead of getting stuck at 24/25. The fourth reward of the 11th quest (Resistance against skill damage 6%) was missing until now – it's now granted, and anyone who already completed it receives it retroactively.
  • September 20, 2026
  • Fixed: the upgrade effect (weapon) occasionally put the character into a T-pose when equipping or changing effects – the armor effect has been rolled back for now, the weapon effect is unchanged.
  • September 19, 2026
  • Refined: 10 upgrade effects (Sea, Fire, Lightning, Ice, Shadow, Rose, Storm, Nature, Magma, Gold) got a more detailed look.
  • Changed: the Warrior now holds two-handed weapons more naturally while standing.
  • New: weapons at +7 and above now get an upgrade effect instead of the old glow – there are 39 kinds (e.g. Sea, Fire, Lightning, Ice, Gold, Rainbow, Galaxy, Red Storm), and each weapon gets one at random. Existing weapons get theirs the first time they're equipped; the effect stays with further upgrades and is also shown in the weapon's tooltip.
  • New: Effect Change Scroll – drag it onto a +7 or higher weapon to get a different random effect; bonuses, stones and rarity are kept. During the beta it can be bought at the General Store for 1 yang.
  • September 18, 2026
  • Fixed: the rarity label above pets' heads (“Legendary”, “Common”) showed up with unreadable characters.
  • Android client 0.9.7 (beta): the same fix (the pet rarity label) in the mobile client too.ANDROID
  • New: language indicator – every player's name is preceded by the flag of their language (Hungarian, Romanian, English, German): above their head, in chat and on the target panel. The flag comes from the language chosen at login.
  • New: redesigned in-game interface – window frames and title bars, buttons, tabs, scrollbars, tooltips and taskbar buttons got a green DFMT2-style design matching the login screen.
  • New (only for the beta): at the Caretaker (in the middle of your empire's first town), the “Beta test: P skills” menu option instantly raises your character's six class skills to P (Perfect Master) – for testing. If you don't have a skill group yet, you can choose one there (from level 5).
  • The “Szint” (level) label above heads now appears in your chosen language (Romanian: Nivel, English and German: Lv.).
  • Fixed: under heavy load (e.g. after a server restart, when lots of players log in at once) logging in sometimes failed – it now waits for the server.
  • Android client 0.9.6 (beta): the language flag now also shows above heads. The new interface and the chat flags are visible even without updating the APK.ANDROID
  • Android client 0.9.5 (beta): tapping another player now opens the character menu (Trade, Duel, Party, Friend…) – previously it only selected the player; tapping an enemy or PvP player still attacks.ANDROID
  • Android client 0.9.4 (beta): the login screen on phones now correctly shows which channels are running (previously all of them looked „unavailable”); when you tap another player, the top quick menu folds aside so the target panel with the Trade, Duel and Party buttons is visible (you can reopen the menu anytime with the „▼ Quick menu” tab).ANDROID
  • New: redesigned login – DFMT2-style login, character selection, character creation and empire selection screens, plus a new loading screen where the DFMT2 logo fills with color as it loads.
  • New: language selection at login (Hungarian, Romanian, English, German flags) – the login and character screens are available in all four languages, and translation of in-game texts is continuously expanding.
  • New: at login, a colored dot next to each channel shows whether it's running (green) or unavailable (red); you get a warning for an unavailable channel, so it no longer looks like the whole server is down.
  • Fixed: closing the error message after a wrong password caused an error – now the password field is cleared and you can try again right away.
  • Android client 0.9.3 (beta): new top quick menu – one tap opens Inventory, Character, Skills, Teleport, Mount inventory, Guild, Friends, Calendar, Dungeon, Map, Storage, Dragon Stone, Switchbot, Biologist, Pet, Quests, Chat log and Menu (collapsible with the “Hide” button); the floor and walls of the Spider Dungeon (SD) are no longer black; chat closes by itself after you send a message, so you can move and attack right away; buying SÉ in the Itemshop no longer makes the screen flicker black.ANDROID
  • September 17, 2026
  • Fixed: whispers - after teleporting or switching characters, old letter icons got stuck on screen: they kept flashing, couldn't be opened or closed, new message icons slid on top of them, and it could even crash the game. The cause was yesterday's new “ctrl + right-click closes the letter icon” feature, so it has been removed; we'll bring it back later in a safe form.
  • Fixed: on the hour (when an event starts or ends), online players got disconnected from the game. The Event Calendar status message had the wrong size, which made the client lose track of the server.
  • Fixed: at the Blacksmith (cube window), some recipes didn't show the required materials - the server wrongly judged the short material list “too long” and didn't send it.
  • Changed: mount descriptions are now more accurate: mounts give their bonus when equipped or from the mount inventory (F11) - not from the regular inventory.
  • Fixed: several background errors that put unnecessary load on the server (wrong entry position on the Farm Map, unnecessary error logging on item pickup, bonuses and NPC clicks).
  • Fixed: when dismounting (Ctrl+G) a mount from the mount inventory, it ended up in the regular inventory, and after a few rounds of mounting and dismounting every mount had wandered over there - losing its bonus too, since that only counts from the mount inventory. Now a dismounted mount goes back into the mount inventory.
  • Changed: the item pickup range has been increased significantly. Until now the server didn't let you pick up anything farther than 300 units, no matter how much the game asked for - that's why the auto pickup radius seemed so small.
  • Fixed: in the Azrael run (Devil's Catacomb), the next task often didn't start after the stone phase, leaving the party in an empty room. The run now moves on even if you die or log out along the way, or if a stone failed to spawn.
  • September 16, 2026
  • Fixed: Magic Copper Ore and Magic Iron Ore couldn't be used for upgrading at all (they had the wrong item type), so above +4 only the Blessing Scroll worked. Both can now be used for as long as the item can be upgraded (up to +9 or +19).
  • Changed: Dragon Watcher Jaharr's shop now opens with a single click, just like the General Store's.
  • Changed: the first slot in the mount inventory has a gold frame even when empty - that's the mount's slot.
  • Changed: when mounting (ctrl+G and the mount button), the game checks the first slot of the mount inventory first, and only then the regular inventory.
  • New: the Farm Map is now available in the Teleport Ring menu.
  • New: Dragon Watcher Jaharr now opens the alchemy shop, and you can trade 2 Experience Rings with him for a Potion of Wisdom.
  • Changed: the Experience Ring drops more often from level 90 Metin Stones (2% instead of 0.75%).
  • Fixed: dropping an item onto another player opens a trade again.
  • New: with storage or a trade window open, right-clicking an item moves it instead of using it.
  • New: you can close the PM icon (the letter under the minimap) with ctrl + right-click.
  • Changed: the first slot in the mount inventory got a gold frame, and that's where you mount from.
  • Fixed: weapon costumes can no longer be put on a fishing rod, so you can't attack with it.
  • Fixed: in the Dungeon window, the level 120 limits were changed to 115 (the max level is 115).
  • Fixed: the Wind Shoes icon (it used to be an ice cream).
  • Fixed: several English error messages now appear in Hungarian, e.g. when you drag an item onto the wrong inventory page.
  • Android client 0.9.2 (beta): fixed the crash that closed the game when teleporting (and when switching characters) – a faulty function call in the sky handler stopped the program while the old map was being released; in shops, the first tap now shows the item's description and price and the second tap buys it; and the “success” confirmation windows no longer end up behind other windows.ANDROID
  • New: Dragon Watcher Jaharr has opened an alchemy shop - Time Elixir (small, medium, large), Researcher's Elixir, Dragon Stone Shard and Alchemy Pouch for 1 yang (temporary test price), and the Premium Alchemy Chest for 1000 Cor Draconis.
  • Changed: upgrading up to +9 is much easier now - +2 and +3 are now 100%, +4: 95%, +5: 90%, +6: 80%, +7: 58%, +8: 48%, +9: 40%. Material requirements and prices are unchanged.
  • Changed: Biologist quests are much faster - the chance of a failed hand-in dropped from 90% to 30%, and the wait between hand-ins is now 10-60 seconds instead of minutes.
  • Fixed: Magic Iron Ore is now stackable (it no longer takes up separate slots) and has been removed from the Blacksmith's upgrade shop, since it isn't an upgrade item.
  • Territory War – faster-paced rounds: an altar only generates points while a member of the owning guild is there; an abandoned altar's seal drains on its own; taking an altar from another guild gives +25 points; if one guild holds all three altars, points are doubled; kills at an altar give +5; taking the Commander is worth 60, defending it 3 points/30 sec – it's a base, not a point machine.
  • Territory War: anyone who captures an altar counts as a participant and gets rewards – previously only damage to the Commander and PvP counted.
  • Territory War: the winning guild's name is now shown (previously “#24”); the per-minute leaderboard also shows the 2nd place, the point gap and the unclaimed altars.
  • Territory War: on the map (M), separate icons mark the Commander and the three altars; the TF panel's X button collapses it, and the /tf command brings it back anytime. New guide: Territory War – how does it work?
  • Android client 0.9.1 (beta): fixed players being disconnected when teleporting (changing maps) – the client sent its old, already invalid messages over the new connection, which the server treated as faulty and closed; on slow mobile internet the connection timeout is also longer now.ANDROID
  • Android client 0.9 (beta): the “One-finger drag on the map” setting is now kept after the next launch too; the Chat, Horse and other on-screen buttons no longer swallow your tap if you pulled down the notification bar or a call came in meanwhile; the updater now verifies the downloaded file before installing.ANDROID
  • Android client 0.8 (beta): the built-in updater now guides you through granting the install permission with a Hungarian explanation and a single button, so the update no longer gets stuck on a system message in a foreign language.ANDROID
  • Android client 0.7 (beta): you can now rotate and tilt the camera by dragging with one finger – look around and up even while standing still (tap = walk there, hold = keep moving; can be switched back in Settings); the app now tells you itself when a new version is available, and it can be updated with one button.ANDROID
  • Android client 0.6 (beta): character and mount movement is now exactly the same as in the PC client (the attack, hit and death animations used to differ); fixed the bottom-left part of the screen not responding to touch when the controls were collapsed; fixed mouse/DeX clicks in FPS mode; a touch interrupted by the system (notification bar, call) no longer mounts or dismounts you.ANDROID
  • September 15, 2026
  • Android client 0.5 (beta): new Chat and Horse (mount/dismount) buttons on the left side of the screen; fixed characters falling through bridges and some objects into the water or the ground; fixed not being able to move on some mounts (e.g. the mammoth) and the mount sinking into the ground; new Settings when tapping the gear icon: interface (HUD) size, FPS mode, frame rate and button visibility. It can simply be installed over the previous beta.ANDROID
  • New: class and jewelry chests - Warrior, Ninja, Sura and Shaman Equipment Chests plus a Jewelry Chest, each with its own look. Each opening gives exactly 1 +0 item of level 30-64 (the class chests give a weapon, armor, helmet, shield or shoes; the Jewelry Chest gives a bracelet, necklace or earrings). They drop from level 30-65 Metin Stones and level 30-64 bosses.
  • New: King Piece - can drop from any monster up to level 50 (low chance, 5 pieces from bosses) and can also be traded on the market. At the Armory Dealer, 500 pieces can be exchanged for Hwang Armament (for all 4 classes).
  • New: Mount Piece - drops from Metin Stones and boss chests. At the Stable Boy it can be exchanged for mounts (Storm Tiger, Battle Wolf, Battle Lion, Manny, Unicorn, Green Horse), as well as the Scroll of Evolution and the Scroll of Change.
  • Changed: boss chests drop much more often (always, for most bosses), and on top of their old contents you get an extra bundle: Metin Stone Fragments, Blessing Scrolls, Zen Beans, pearls, Cor Draconis, bars and Mount Pieces - the stronger the boss, the more you get.
  • Changed: Metin Stones now also drop silver and gold bars, and level 30-45 stones drop mount certificates too.
  • Fixed: opening an Upgrade Chest occasionally gave nothing.
  • New: the Android client (beta) is out! DFMT2 can now be played on your phone too - you'll find the APK under the download button. On first launch the app downloads the game (approx. 3.9 GB, Wi-Fi recommended). Touch controls: a movable and lockable joystick, attack and quick-slot buttons (1-4, F1-F4) that can be collapsed into a small dot if they get in the way.ANDROID
  • Fixed: the Teleport Ring took your Spider Dungeon floor 4 pass even below level 100, then sent you back to the village. It now only lets you in between levels 100-130, and only takes the pass (floors 3 and 4) right before teleporting.
  • Changed: Spider Dungeon floor 3 is now the leveling spot for levels 80-100: the spiders are level 86-98, stronger, and give a lot more EXP.
  • September 14, 2026
  • Fixed: new bonuses on items placed in the Switchbot weren't reliably saved and could revert after logging out or a server restart.
  • Switchbot settings are now kept after logging out, changing channels and server restarts, and switching resumes when you log in.
  • Fixed: the Territory War start announcement appeared twice.
  • Fixed: after teleporting (or logging back in) you fell off your mount, and Ctrl+G didn't summon it again either - now you stay mounted (with ice, seal and PvP mounts too).
  • Fixed: your summoned pet (Bonsai included) now stays with you after teleporting and logging back in, until you send it away.
  • Fixed: the Halloween 2025 costume and hair didn't show on female Ninjas (the default outfit and an old hairstyle appeared instead).
  • New: Metin Stone Selector - a new 4th button among the left mouse button modes on the taskbar. With it selected, you can click to mark Metin Stones (up to 5 at a time), and your character attacks them in order, always moving on to the closest one. A marked stone shows an aura and a number; click it again to unmark it.
  • Changed: Metin Stone selection is free for everyone (5 stones), Premium Metin Farm has been removed, and this mouse mode replaces the old Shift + right-click selection.
  • Fixed: after today's update, the loading screen stayed on screen at login (due to a target window bug). Restart the patcher and it'll be fine.
  • Fixed: weapons, armor and helmets from the beta PvP shop now display properly on your character (previously they didn't show in hand/on the body even when equipped, and you attacked with your fists). PvP items you already bought are kept.
  • Fixed: the exact HP number in the target window overlapped the neighboring window - it now appears on a separate line below the bar.
  • Auto pickup: now turned ON by default for everyone; if you don't want it, you can turn it off under Settings / Game.
  • Fixed: the icon of the Potion of Wisdom (and other timed potions) didn't show the remaining time - it now counts down.
  • Camera: the “Far” camera view in Settings / System can now be zoomed out much further (from 3500 to 6000).
  • September 13, 2026
  • New launcher (DFMT2Patcher.exe): the installer and the updater are now one small program. It doesn't need administrator rights, updates itself, and downloads now come from our own site - not from MediaFire. The old patcher still works, but it's worth switching: download it, run it, and if it finds your existing DFMT2 folder, it only replaces the launcher without downloading the game again.
  • The game client (DFMT2.exe) no longer asks for administrator rights at startup. The launcher fetches the new version automatically.
  • Fixed: the game program (DFMT2.exe) has been updated - login no longer gets stuck after character selection. Run the patcher to get it!
  • Changed: Spirit Stone refining at Seon-Pyeong has been removed (both the menu option and the recipes are gone).
  • Changed: Huahn-So no longer displays messages above his head.
  • Changed: the Dragonsteel Shard (steel-blue crystal) and Dragonsteel Ore (fiery-red ore chunk) got their own, easily distinguishable icons.
  • New: all seven level 75 weapons can now be upgraded up to +19 (Poison Sword, Lion Sword, Devil Wing Chakram, Crow Steel Bow, Wrath Sword, Orchid Bell, Autumn Wind Fan) - with the same recipe and bonuses the Poison Sword had so far.
  • New: Dragonsteel Shard and Dragonsteel Ore. At the Blacksmith (Dragonsteel Forging) you can smelt a +9 level 75 weapon into 1 shard (the weapon is lost!), and three shards into 1 ore. Upgrades above +9 now also require shards: 1 for +10 to +14, and 2 for +15 to +19.
  • New: above +9, Dragonsteel Ore can be used instead of the Blessing Scroll: it gives a fixed 80% chance at every level, and on failure the weapon does NOT drop back - you only lose the materials. The Blessing Scroll still works with the old chances.
  • Fixed: at login the server sent outdated dungeon data to the client for no reason (the “Unknown Server Command UpdateDungeonInfo” lines in syserr) - this no longer happens.
  • Fixed: both versions of the Fruit of Life can now be used (one of them did nothing before). It gives +2000 rank points every 8 hours; if the time isn't up yet, the chat tells you how much is left.
  • Fixed: when using a Zen Bean or the Fruit of Life, the chat used to say your points had decreased — they actually increase, and now it says so.
  • Territory War: for now it only takes place on Mount Sohan – for both manual and automatic starts. The other two maps will be enabled later.
  • Territory War: the Territory Commander and the three altars have been moved to new spots on Mount Sohan, and all three altars now share the same look.
  • Territory War: the Territory Commander no longer attacks members of the guild that owns it – previously they just couldn't damage it, but it still chased them.
  • Territory War: altars can no longer be destroyed – previously, if they took enough hits, they disappeared for the rest of the round.
  • Territory War: kills made during the war no longer reduce your rank points.
  • Territory War: nobody gets teleported home at the end of the round; everyone stays where they were.
  • Territory War: while the war is on, the map (and minimap) shows where the Commander and the three altars are – so newcomers know where everything is too.
  • Fixed: the Altar of Glory used to look like a figure sunk into the ground – it now appears with the correct look, like the other two altars.
  • September 12, 2026
  • Territory War: capturing altars now has a predictable pace – about 20 seconds solo, and the same time to take one back. Previously a single attacker could drain a fully charged altar in 4 seconds, because capturing ran twenty-five times faster than intended.
  • Territory War: all THREE altars now generate points for their owner (+5 points / 10 seconds), and the Altar of Battle and Altar of Defense give their combat bonus on top of that – so every altar is worth capturing.
  • Territory War: after the Territory Commander is defeated, it respawns immediately in the winning guild's colors, and from then on that guild can no longer damage it, so they can defend it. Previously the Commander sometimes vanished for good for the rest of the round after being defeated.
  • Territory War: the Territory Commander and all three altars finally have names on the map – until now only a star was shown above them.
  • Territory War: the stats window shows whether an altar is currently rising, falling or at a stalemate, so you can follow the standings even while fighting there yourself.
  • Territory War: retaking a captured altar now shows on the bar from the very first second – previously the display wrongly stayed at 100% for a while.
  • Territory War: chat now shows the proper altar names (e.g. “Altar of Battle” instead of the old “NORTH”) and tells you which guild became the new owner.
  • Territory War: system messages now display proper Hungarian text with accented letters throughout.
  • September 11, 2026
  • Fixed: summoning scrolls (e.g. Turtle Scroll, Orc Chief Scroll, Flame King Scroll), ore vein stones and Metin Stone summoning boxes work again: right-clicking summons the monster instantly (previously only an empty “Chest contents” window opened).
  • Fixed: the green frame in the inventory shows up again when you activate the Sun and Moon Elixir.
  • Fixed: the error message shows up again when you don't have enough yang (or payment items) for a purchase.
  • Fixed: riding the faster mounts no longer snaps you back.
  • Fixed: storage password change, teleport restrictions and more than 300 other system messages now show readable Hungarian text instead of garbled characters.
  • Fixed: text errors in item destruction, pet ranks (Brave, Heroic), Hong-Hae's Farm Map and Fishing Map dialogue, and several inventory, guild storage and AFK messages.
  • Fixed: the Captain in Jinno's first town (blue map1) no longer stands inside the building next to him.
  • Balance: monsters in Spider Cave 2 give much more experience (spiders 7–14 times, snakes, scorpions and bandits 2–5 times as much) and one and a half times more yang.
  • Balance: the hell monsters of the Devil's Catacomb give 20–30 times more experience, and the Evil Spiders of the Yongbi Desert 7–8 times more (scaled to the monster's HP).
  • Fixed: four monster groups in Spider Cave 2 never spawned at all — they're there now (Snake Warriors, Snake Archers, Desert Bandits).
  • Azrael's Chest: the Zen Bean has been removed. Soul Crystal jewelry pieces now drop at 5% each, and level 75 weapons at 14% in total; new: Blessing Scroll, Blacksmith's Stone, Upgrade Chest, Magic Ore.
  • Red Dragon's Chest: the old +3/+4/+6 gear and the Gold Chest have been removed. Instead it has Blessing Marble, Soul Stone, Blacksmith's Stone, Upgrade Chest, Cor Draconis, mount certificates, rarely a ready-made mount seal, and Ice Shards.
  • Biologist: the extra reward for every quest is now 1 Premium Alchemy Chest (instead of the Gold Bar or the Gold Chest).
  • The Metin of Black, Metin of Darkness and Metin of Jealousy drop a Blessing Scroll with a 5% chance; on Sohan, the Metin of Devil and Metin of Death drop 2 Ice Shards with a 25% chance.
  • The first map of the red and yellow empires now has as many Metin Stones as the blue one (Metin of Fight, Metin of Battle, Metin of Greed, Metin of Black: 11–21 instead of 2–4).
  • Removed from monster drops: Bamboo Arrow, Stone Arrow, Silver Treasure Chest and Silver Key; Hay no longer drops either.
  • New: Camel Whistle. The rarer Desert Bandits in the Yongbi Desert drop it with a 3% chance. At the Stable Boy, 10 whistles get you a 7-day Black War Camel, and 50 whistles a permanent Brown War Camel.
  • New: basic ice mount (without bonuses) at the Stable Boy for 500 Ice Shards. Ice Shards drop from the Metin of Devil and Metin of Death on Sohan, and they're also in the Red Dragon's Chest.
  • Fixed: the six ice mounts got their own mount IDs. Until now they moved using a fire monster's data, which could have caused the snapping back.
  • Fixed: item name typos “Jefes Alvilági Pecsét” → “Jeges Alvilági Pecsét”, “Jeges Álás Pecsét” → “Jeges Áldás Pecsét”.
  • September 10, 2026
  • New: Upgrade Chest - drops from every Metin Stone. Each opening gives two or three kinds of upgrade items (materials from the Blacksmith's shop), and rarely a Blacksmith's Stone, Magic Iron Ore or Magic Copper Ore too. The chest is stackable.
  • September 9, 2026
  • New: your Discord status now shows that you're playing DFMT2 - with your character's name and level, your class and empire emblems, and which map you're currently on.
  • Fixed: the Sun and Moon Elixir can now also be placed in the belt inventory.
  • September 8, 2026
  • Fixed: switching pages (activation) in the Dragon Stone window crashed the server, so you couldn't activate or refine at all. The bug is gone, and Dragon Stones can be activated properly.
  • Fixed: you couldn't attack with a Poison Sword above +10 - the character switched to fist fighting. The +10...+19 levels now work properly too.
  • September 5, 2026
  • Fixed: your body costume didn't show if you were also wearing armor - the armor model appeared instead (others saw it that way too). Now the costume shows as it should.
  • Fixed: an unrelated image appeared in the item description of Level-upgraded dragon sapphires. The stone's stats were always correct, only the image was wrong.
  • Fixed: dragon onyx Dragon Stones gave no bonuses at all - because of a table error the server couldn't find their bonus list. They now work properly.
  • New: the Poison Sword can now be upgraded up to +19. The levels above +10 are reached with the usual Blessing Scroll; besides rising attack power, they also give strength against monsters, and from +15 on, piercing hit chance too.
  • August 30, 2026
  • Fixed: entering a larger amount when assigning status points kicked you out of the game (the points were still added). Now it's done all at once, in a single step - and you can enter the full available amount.
  • GM messages (whispers) now use an easy-to-read font - previously they were italic and hard to read.
  • Clicking a link sent in a GM message now opens it in your own default browser.
  • Fixed: bosses can no longer be pushed out of place - their position is now handled only by the server. Bosses still chase you and move around, they just can't be shoved.
  • Fixed: accented letters showed up as unreadable symbols in chat (e.g. “You received an item…”, “You destroyed the following item…”) - the server's messages were created with the wrong character encoding. All Hungarian text has been restored.
  • Fixed: the “Close” button label in NPC dialog windows showed up as Korean characters.
  • Fixed: when summoning a pet, the text “(b77x)” appeared in chat instead of the buff effect - the effect shows properly again.
  • New: Mount inventory (F11) - a separate window for mounts with 100 slots. Your normal inventory won't fill up with them.
  • IMPORTANT: mount bonuses now count ONLY from the mount inventory. Mounts left in your normal inventory give no bonus - move them over.
  • Only one copy of each mount can be placed in it (previously the same bonus would have counted multiple times).
  • Fixed: items in the special inventories (stone, chest, book, efsun, flower) appeared shifted - the client and the server calculated slot positions 5 slots apart. Nothing was lost; everything is back in place.
  • Server stability: fixed a bug that could crash the channel when moving items.
  • August 27, 2026
  • New: Dungeon Info window (F5) - all dungeons in one place: Demon Tower, Spider Dungeon, Devil's Catacomb (Azrael), Dragon's Lair (Beran-Setaou), Demon Cave (Zombie Reaper), Hae-Tae, Red Dragon, Shadow Lord, Razador and Nemere
  • For every dungeon you can see the boss's name and picture, the level and party size limits, the required entry items, the duration, the location and the entrance
  • “Enter” button: teleports you to the selected dungeon's entrance with one click (the level limit is checked)
  • Boss Loot button: see what the final boss of each dungeon drops
  • The leaderboards and the “My Results” stats aren't collecting data yet - they'll be filled in with the next update
  • Dragon Stone Alchemy: Refining finally works - until now it said “cannot be refined” for every stone, because a faulty config file kept the client from even sending the request
  • New 6th grade: Mythic Dragon Stone - can be upgraded further from Legendary stones, and can be refined itself too
  • Class refinement now needs 2 stones (the client and the server used different amounts and prices until now, which is also why refining got stuck)
  • Alchemy window: the grade icons are now the original, detailed icons, and the window's color tone matches the inventory style
  • The Dragon Stone bag now supports 6 grades - your existing stones were rearranged automatically, nothing was lost
  • August 22, 2026
  • Weapon costumes fixed: you can now attack with them - previously the character didn't move at all while wearing a weapon costume
  • August 21, 2026
  • Server stability: fixed a bug that instantly crashed the server when using certain potions
  • Disconnects and lag fixed: removed a background process that regularly froze the server and kicked players with timeouts
  • Patcher fixed: because of a bug it only processed the first file from the update list, so the update never completed - fresh installs now work too
  • Switchbot fixed: you can now select the bonus you're looking for and switching starts (it didn't work before because of a missing client function)
  • Bosses: they no longer fly away when hit, they stay in place
  • Shop window: no longer closes by itself when you walk away from the merchant - you close it whenever you want
  • Shop window: no more flickering when closing (for both NPC shops and players' private shops)
  • General Store: the Sun and Moon Elixir now costs Metin Stone Fragments instead of yang (Small 5, Medium 8, Large 25 fragments)
  • Manny mount: +20% movement speed (on top of its existing HP and strength against monsters)
  • Apprentice Chest: now gives the infinite version instead of the Cape of Courage
  • Lots of Hungarian text that showed up with unreadable characters has been fixed: bonus switching, event notifications at login, chest opening, guild creation and several common messages
  • The installer can now be downloaded as a zip, so browsers no longer flag it as a suspicious file
  • August 18-19, 2026
  • Dragon Stone Alchemy (Dragon Soul) system under restoration: permission handling and the base interface (Alchemy window, inventory shortcut button) already work - fine-tuning of Refining/Activation is still in progress
  • Lots of Hungarian text that displayed incorrectly (unreadably) has been fixed: item use failed/succeeded, box opening, refining, arena restrictions and other common player messages (fixes are ongoing)
  • DF Coin label fixed in the inventory window (it was unreadable before)
  • August 12-13, 2026
  • Major TF expansion: daily automatic war (19:00-19:45), 3 exclusive dungeons for members of the winning guild, Royal Exchange Coin crafting, web payout (bank transfer or SÉ), and brand-new premium icons for every TF item
  • Territory War (TF): the TF Chest can now be opened, and the TF Coin is tradable and can be exchanged for costumes at the Shop NPC
  • New: Event Calendar (F8) - monthly event overview with an active-event indicator icon
  • August 8-9, 2026
  • New, custom DFMT2 logo and branding in both the client and the website
  • Switchbot system added
  • Login and character selection screens redesigned
  • Website: dfmt2reload.hu - completely new design
  • Item Shop, Partner program and Leaderboard available on the website
